191kids shares the love… Join the Giveaway!

A great shirt is like a  trusted friend.  This ubiquitous piece of clothing is the one item in the closet that transcends seasons and remains a style staple right through the years . Not only does it make you look good, it also keeps you comfortable. You are always going to have a shirt in the closet no matter which season or year it is. Starting them early on is the key to a well dressed man!

191kids, the offshoot brand of 191unlimited.com knows how to play the game when it comes to to dressing up your little guy. It isn’t surprising considering the minds behind this venture are two young men themselves. Their current range focuses on dress shirts, which come in plaids, solids, stripes and they even carry some embroidered ones.  I must say discovering them this season has been perfect, my long search for that perfect little shirt for the holidays has finally come to an end. I found exactly what I wanted at 191kids, my favorite being the Johnny Martini, compliments from the brand.

What I love about this shirt is that it is so versatile, it can be used as a dress shirt for days we need a dress shirt, or it could use it as weekend shirt to laze around in as well! I also love the fact that it’s made from a blend of natural and synthetic fiber, which makes sure my shirt will hold up for a few rough days. After all we are talking boys here. I also like the contemporary  simplicity of the piece and its understated design appeal with the top stitching, and slim fit silhouette. Something to keep in mind here is that their since their styling is slim, you may want to go a size up when purchasing, especially if your little one is not used to less room. This is definitely a great gift to give this holiday season.

Speaking of gifts, it’s that time of the year, and we (191kids and totastyle) are giving away 3 shirts to the readers of this blog. All you have to do is comment on this post and tell us which is your favorite shirt from the 191kids range and how you would pair it up.

Sign up for the 191kids newsletter and become a fan on their Facebook page, and you get an extra entry.

Become a fan of Tot-a-style on our Facebook page and you get another extra entry.

The giveaway ends on December 15th. The winners will be chosen at random and announced on here at Tot-a-style. You will have 48 hours to claim the gift, if you win, after which another winner will be chosen. 191kids will select the shirts, all you have to do is give them the size you want and your mailing address and wait for your lovely package to arrive! This giveaway is only for US residents. Of course that being said you can still avail the opportunity to win, all you have to do is get your family and friends who live here in the US involved!

Totstylist! I am loving all the varied looks you have created with the Johnny Martini Shirt. And loving the new wave of colors on “I” as well – the yellows, whites & pinks :) I would have joined the giveway if I had a tot :) Will spread the word to my friends…

I would do the organized chaos shirt but I do love the Johnny martni shirt a lot.
I would pair it with a pair dark washed jeans from H&M ( I love your sons skinny jeans but unfortuantley the word skinny doesn’t go with my son! He has super duper chubby thighs but he is only 18 months and is the size a 2 1/2 year old!) with pair of cute converse shoes. I think I might have to throw a vest on over it or for a preppy look I would throw on a zipper sweater. Great giveaway btw!

I love the advance training shirt for the four year old. I might pair it with some dark jeans and a checked scarf . Love the shirts they have, but I do feel they are a little expensive for the range. Would love to see a more casual range from them in the future with more reasonable prices.

Its hard to pick one when you like them all !! I would pair them up with blue-black denim, an hoodie or a puffer vest or a sweater vest.

If I have absolutely pick one, then I will pick the 6th shirt. 3rd from top on the 2nd row.

great eye candy of a blog you have going. Wonder how I missed this. your 30-30 is simply fabulous. You must consider going full throttle and do this for adults too…

I generally prefer simplistic styles and colors with a little edge…I’ll pick both the one on the bottom right and the one in the 4th row 1st column…If I have to decide on one of these, I would go with a classic blue jeans and pair it with the bottom right shirt…maybe a grey belt.

Tot Stylist, If it is not too late, here are my picks! If I win, I can always gift my shirt to my favorite tot!

1) It’s a season of classic plaids! I liked almost all the plaid shirts in the offering by 191, including Johnny Martini.

I would pick the “Got Beat Up” or “Bottle Rocket” plaid shirt, pair it up with sleek Khaki pants (will roll up the sleeves of the pants a bit & tuck the shirt completely in), distressed brown leather shoes, brown leather belt and a cream fedora hat or a cream driver hat.

I like the “Ultimatum” plaid as well, and will pair it with an olive green sleeveless sweater vest and blue denim.

If I pick the “Summer time” plaid, I will pair it with a cream sleeveless sweater vest and blue denim.

2) I also loved these 3 shirts: Krokus, Scribble & Smooth Sailing. They all have a certain sailor-look flamboyance to them. I would pair them up with white pants or shorts, white or blue loafers, a cream or white fedora and some eye glasses

3) Finally I liked the mausoleum & Montreux for their slightly bohemian looks. I will pair them up with cream linen drawstring pants and slippers in the summer & with a cream sweater vest and denim in the winter. I will have the tot wear a boy bead necklace.

this is infectious…can’t stop…4) I could also pair the “Got Beat Up” maroon plaid shirt with a light chocolate brown Skinny Jean tucked under tall black boots (red socks peeping from the boots). Then throw in a military green hooded utility jacket.
